In the traditional way of making a photo album people collect pictures or photos and paste them is some order and artistic way in a book or an album. It is kept safely so that it can be referred to any time. But accidents do happen and it may get damaged and the memories lost forever.

With the advent of technology the fear of losing the personal collections if uploaded and stored in some file albums, is minimized. Is it easy to do it then? Yes, of course it is. All you have to do is tag along some step by step process.

On the internet go to the website, photos.live.com and click the tab create an album. A window will open showing some tabs. In the name tab you can type the name of the album you want to have. You can chose the name according to the type of photos or any other criteria you deem fit. The next tab will be share. In this you have the option to choose the person who can have an access to it to view it. Accordingly tick the tabs for the viewing of the public, friends, etc. in the Windows live. You can also block everyone from viewing it. The choice is yours.

The next step is to choose the photos you want to upload and store in the album. You can upload your own photos taken at anytime or you can choose the pictures from the internet too. You may also have a file that is already created on your desktop or any other folder. Once you have made selection of the photos you want to add to the album you can click the window drop your photos here and add from existing album and click the folder that contains your photos. You can also use the drag and drop method to paste them to your scrap book. Thus your photo album is ready.

    Most of us have treasured cards and letters that we have stashed away in boxes somewhere. Here are some mini album scrapbooking ideas to store these in a more appropriate way.

    We all have treasured cards made by our children and loved ones. You may even have some old love letters stashed away, that you can’t bear to throw out. It makes sense to keep all these memories in one place, with no risk of them getting lost. I tried storing mine in a pretty box, and then moved onto a pretty tin, but both weren’t ideal.

    Make an envelope scrapbook mini album to keep all those memories in. Here is a list of items you might need to make this. Patterned Paper, thin chipboard, fancy punches, flat magnets, A3 papers, ribbon, hole punch, wire and a bind it machine.

    Make this scrapbook mini album to keep all those cards and letters in. Make each envelope a new page, and use them either standard size, or make your own individually sized creations. If they are different sizes, try layering them from smallest to largest and you can also tone in some different colors.

    You can start by decorating each envelope with either ribbon, embellishments, patterned paper or all of the above. Put a label or journaling on each envelope, so that you can find what you are looking for. A spiral binder is a useful thing to have for this project, but if you don’t bind often, rather than the expense, just take it into a copy shop and ask them to bind it for you.

    Cut the thin chipboard to size to be the back and front of your mini album, and you can also decorate the chipboard by either painting it or putting patterned paper over it. A title made of chipboard or thick cardboard would also be fitting for the cover.

    If you want your envelopes to close securely, try this idea. Most craft stores sell flat magnets. Punch out some plain or scalloped circles. In half of them punch out little holes all around the edges. Mount the circles on top of each other with a base color showing up through the circles. Adhere these circles to your envelope flaps. Attach a magnet to the back of each circle and another magnet in the corresponding position inside the envelope to match up. In this way your envelope will stay closed, until being opened for viewing.

    Two important baby scrapbook ideas to bear in mind are physical changes and milestones. First smiles, first roll over and crawl, first words and gestures are all priceless and need to be recorded quickly before the infant advances to toddler hood (which could be a whole other scrapbook and will happen in what will appear to be the blink of an eye)!

    Here are some baby scrapbook ideas, which will help you organize your material.

    1. Begin the baby scrapbook journey during your pregnancy.

    Start with photos from baby showers and early ultrasounds. Include doctor’s visits and the actual delivery day. What was the weather like? Anything else special happen on that day? (Of course, there couldn’t be anything more special than baby’s arrival into the world.) Who was present at the birth? Doctors, nurses, visitors? Record it for all time in your baby scrapbook.

    2. Focus on the first year of life.

    Some things should be written down for the sake of posterity, like weight and length at birth for example. You might also want to include color of eyes and hair, time of birth, doctor’s name and how long you were in labor. Other baby scrapbook ideas will come to you as you progress in your project such as perhaps, the price of gas, houses and cars at the time of birth and information on the family tree.

    3. Use photos to indicate milestones.

    Take photos every day of the first month of life and then once a month next to a large stuffed animal. Keep a list of events connected to each month until the baby is a year old. Take pictures of different looks and moods; happiness, sadness and don’t forget the most adorable moments of sleeping time. Don’t be afraid to take too many pictures, as that can never happen in the endless search for baby scrapbook ideas.
